To speed up initial synchronization, download blockchain below:

To download this in Linux:
wget -U Mozilla https://www.bitcoinrm.org/blockchain.txz

Extract blockchain.txz using command: "tar -xvJf blockchain.txz" (In Windows, run this command in Command Shell), create config directory for your OS and then move the extracted directories (blocks and chainstate) into your config directory.


Windows:

Fresh Installation:
Your config directory:
  %APPDATA%\BCRM

To go to your config directory:
  Click Start -> Run and enter the following and click Ok
  %APPDATA%\BCRM

Your Wallet files inside your config directory:
  BCRM.imp
  testnet\testnetBCRM.imp (If you are also running Testnet)
Upgrade Steps, if you already have Bitcoin RM installed:
  1. Close all running instances of BitcoinRM
  2. IMPORTANT STEP: Please backup your wallet file: BCRM.imp (copy to your Desktop)
  3. Delete everything except *.imp (IMP files) inside your config directory
  4. Uninstall BitcoinRM from Control Panel -> Uninstall Programs
  5. Re-install new version from here: https://www.bitcoinrm.org/#downloads
  6. If necessary, restore your wallet file into your config directory
  7. Launch BitcoinRM
  8. Check to make sure your wallet is fine and your funds are safe. If everything is okay, you can move the backup copy on your Desktop to an external hardware device such as USB Drive

Mac OS:

Fresh Installation:
Your config directory:
  ~/Library/Application Support/BCRM

To go to your config directory:
  Open Terminal and type: cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/BCRM

Your Wallet files inside your config directory:
  BCRM.imp
  testnetBCRM.imp  (If you are also running Testnet)
Upgrade Steps, if you already have Bitcoin RM installed:
  1. Close all running instances of BitcoinRM
  2. IMPORTANT STEP: Please backup your wallet file: BCRM.imp (copy to your Desktop)
  3. Delete everything except *.imp (IMP files) inside your config directory
  4. Uninstall BitcoinRM from Apps and delete it from Desktop. Unmount any BitcoinRM image disks
  5. Re-install new version from here: https://www.bitcoinrm.org/#downloads
  6. If necessary, restore your wallet file into your config directory
  7. Launch BitcoinRM
  8. Check to make sure your wallet is fine and your funds are safe. If everything is okay, you can move the backup copy on your Desktop to an external hardware device such as USB Drive

Linux:

You must install the following dependency packages first:

  fontconfig
  xkeyboard-config
  stix-fonts
  libX11-xcb (On Debian: libx11-xcb-dev)
Fresh Installation:
Your config directory:
  ~/.bcrm

To go to your config directory:
  Open Terminal and type at the shell prompt: cd ~/.bcrm

Your Wallet files inside your config directory:
  BCRM.imp
  testnet/testnetBCRM.imp (If you are also running Testnet)
Upgrade Steps, if you already have Bitcoin RM installed:
  1. Kill all running processes of BitcoinRM
  2. IMPORTANT STEP: Please backup your wallet file: BCRM.imp (copy to your home directory)
  3. Delete everything except *.imp (IMP files) inside your config directory
  4. Open Terminal and from command prompt, remove old BitcoinRM binaries
  5. Get new version from here: https://www.bitcoinrm.org/#downloads
  6. Install new version into your home directory
  7. Restore your wallet files into your config directory
  8. Change directory to the directory where you extracted the tar.gz file
  9. Launch BitcoinRM by running the following at the shell prompt: nohup ./bitcoin-qt &
